Accelerating Africa’s Transformation Post COVID-19
“Sub-Sahara Africa, home to more than one billion people, half of whom will be under 25 years in 2050, is a diverse continent offering human and natural resources that have the potential to yield inclusive growth and wipe out poverty in the region, enabling Africans across the continent to live healthier and more prosperous live”, (World Bank).
Indeed, it is worth noting that in the decade prior to the onset of COVID-19 pandemic, the continent experienced consistent growth while some countries were reported to be among the world’s fastest growing economies.
Due to these challenges, African leaders are identifying policies, to maximize the development of impact. The implementation of approved flagship frameworks such as the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) which provides Africa with a golden opportunity for internal growth is in the making.
African leaders would need the support of the international development community to undertake its much-needed transformation agenda. In this connection, ICD Impact stands ready to provide its professional support in the design and management of programs, in capacity building for skills enhancement and in the evaluation of projects and programs.
Having previously undertaken important assignments for some African sub-regional and national bodies, ICD Impact is well-placed to provide the kind of support that is not only relevant but also impactful.
